H.E Mohamed Thani Murshed Ghannam Alrumaithi

Chairman

With his extensive and illustrious career and experience in various sectors and industries, both locally and internationally, H.E. Mohamed Thani Murshed Ghannam has held several leadership roles such as Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors of First Abu Dhabi Bank since 2017 as well as Member of the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Murban Energy Limited, Abu Dhabi, Chairman of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the UAE, Member of the Board of Directors of Canal Sugar Egypt representing Murban Energy Limited, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC). Currently, he also holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thani Murshid Group of Companies, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Engineer Hamad Al Ameri is the Managing Director and Group CEO of Alpha Dhabi Holding PJSC, one of the fastest-growing Abu Dhabi-based investment holding companies, with more than 250 businesses spread across healthcare, renewable energy, petrochemical and other industries as well as real estate, construction and hospitality.

A recognised and accomplished business leader in the UAE, Engineer Hamad Al Ameri has spearheaded the rapid and comprehensive transformation of Alpha Dhabi Holding since being appointed Group CEO in 2021. Under his leadership, he has implemented a strategy to increase the geographic reach of the group and now it has presence in over 30 countries while in the first year since Alpha Dhabi’s IPO overseas revenues increased by over 500%.

Under the visionary leadership of Engineer Hamad Al Ameri, he spearheaded strategic partnerships and collaborations with prominent entities such as ADQ, Mubadala, and ADNOC Drilling which enhanced Alpha Dhabi’s portfolio and drove innovation and growth across various sectors. While on the private companies front, He is the Chairman of ADMO Lifestyle Holding and a Board Member of OCI Methanol Group and Mawarid Holding Investment.

Engineer Hamad Al Ameri holds an MBA from the Canadian University in Dubai alongside a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the American University in Dubai.

Sofia Abdellatif Lasky

Independent, Non–Executive Director

Sofia Lasky has been with IHC since April 2020, and brings considerable experience in asset management, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, portfolio management, alternative investments, funds, valuation, financing, capital markets and corporate structuring through her 16-year tenure at Royal Group.

She has overseen the acquisition of numerous companies in a variety of core industries, including real estate, contracting, food processing, preventive healthcare, and capital investments. Her contribution towards the growth of companies within the Royal Group has been invaluable.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Technology from the United Kingdom and has held and continues to occupy a position on the Board of Directors of a number of companies, including Alpha Dhabi Holding (ADH). Sofia has also served as a Board Member of Macquarie Capital Middle East LLC.

Sultan Dhahi Sultan Massam Alhemeiri

Independent, Non–Executive Director

With a Bachelor’s degree in political science, Sultan Dhahi Sultan Massam Alhemeiri has held a number of positions in both the public and private sectors. Between 1997 and 2002, he worked in the Protocol and Hospitality Department, and today he’s the active Director of the Executive Office of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, a position he’s held since 2002. His contributions in the ministry include a number of important roles on several committees, and his career has extended outside the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, adding to his portfolio of illustrious positions in the UAE.

Syed Basar Shueb

Independent, Non–Executive Director

Alongside his tenure at Alpha Dhabi, Syed Basar has held the position of Group CEO of the Pal Group of Companies since 2000 and holds leadership positions on several other high-profile companies, including Reem Finance PJSC, Chimera Investments, and Keyhole TIG (K-TIG) Limited, and is one of the key players in the UAE’s utilities services sector through PAL District Cooling.

In addition to becoming CEO, Managing Director and a member of the Board of Directors of IHC, Syed Basar was elected to the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

An accomplished and respected senior executive, he has substantial and diversified experience in the processing, manufacturing, construction, finance and service industries, and was listed in the Middle East’s top-tier of CEOs by Forbes in 2021; Basar is known to be a decisive and pragmatic leader, and for his skill in creating and nurturing cohesive and focused business units that grow profitable bottom lines.

He has played an integral part in IHC being in the top 10 performers of Abu Dhabi Bourse listed companies.

Mohammad Yaser Bader

Chief Financial Officer

Mohammad Yaser Bader serves as the Group CFO of Alpha Dhabi Holding PJSC one of the fastest growing Abu Dhabi based investment holding companies, with more than 250 businesses spread across healthcare, renewable energy, petrochemical and other industries as well as real estate, construction and hospitality.

In his role he oversees the financial operations of Alpha Dhabi and its subsidiaries, ensuring their financial stability, growth, and compliance to regulatory standards. With more than 20 years of experience in financial management and accounting, he has a demonstrated history of achieving effective outcomes in revenue growth, cost optimisation, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance.

In addition to his role at Alpha Dhabi, Mohammad holds other key positions as a board member in EnerSol RSC Ltd (EnerSol), Mawarid Holding Investment LLC (Mawarid), Sandstorm Auto Manufacturing LLC, and Canal Sugar S.A.E. He also serves as an audit committee member of the board in Pure Health Holding PJSC, EnerSol, Mawarid, and OCI Clean Fuels Limited.

Mohammad holds a CMA from the Institute of Management Accountant (IMA), USA, and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), USA.

Khalil C. Massoud

Chief Investment Officer

Khalil Massoud serves as the CIO of Alpha Dhabi Holding PJSC, one of fastest growing Abu Dhabi-based investment holding companies, with more than 250 businesses spread across healthcare, renewable energy, petrochemical and other industries as well as real estate, construction and hospitality.

With more than 20 years of experience in the investment sector, Khalil has played an instrumental role in shaping Alpha Dhabi’s investment strategy since joining as Director of Investments in 2022. Under his leadership, Alpha Dhabi has launched new investment platforms, executed landmark mergers and acquisitions, and solidified its position as a leading investment holding company in the MENA region.

Khalil has been responsible for deploying over AED 10 billion into new programmes, transactions, funds, and IPOs. Notable achievements include the creation of key investment platforms such as MICAD Credit JV, a USD 2.5 billion joint venture with Mubadala; Enersol, a USD 1.5 billion partnership with ADNOC Drilling; and ADMO Lifestyle Holding, a USD 500 million lifestyle platform with Monterock International. Khalil also led the strategic partnership between Alpha Dhabi Construction Holding and ADQ and the AED 5.2 billon merger of hospitality assets with NCTH.

In addition to his role at Alpha Dhabi, Khalil holds board and committee positions across several of its portfolio companies. He is board and investment committee member of Enersol, a board member of ADMO Lifestyle Holding, MICAD Credit JV, and Kalyon Energi, and an investment committee member of Pure Health Holding.

Khalil holds a Master’s in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut.

Derek Nicholson

Chief Strategy & Investor Relations Officer

Derek Nicholson is the Chief Strategy & Investor Relations Officer at Alpha Dhabi Holding PJSC, one of fastest growing Abu Dhabi-based investment holding companies, with more than 250 businesses spread across healthcare, renewable energy, petrochemical and other industries as well as real estate, construction and hospitality.

In his role, Derek oversees the strategic planning and execution of the company’s investment portfolio, ensuring its alignment with long-term objectives and shareholder value creation. With almost three decades of leadership roles across industries such as investment, energy, oil and gas, real estate, wealth management, healthcare, hospitality and construction, Derek has a proven track record of global expertise, and a deep understanding of maximising shareholder returns through strategic investments.

Derek’s leadership journey includes roles in strategy and finance in both public and private groups, including Barclays and Standard Life Investments (now ABRDN). He has over 13 years of experience in the Middle East and an extensive knowledge and expertise in capital markets both regionally and internationally.

A chartered accountant by qualification, Derek has completed executive programmes at Harvard and INSEAD, focusing on business strategy, finance, change management and effective communication. His broad network of advisors in banking, consulting, and business advisory sectors provides valuable external insights for driving business growth.

Iman Khalid Ali Al Marzouqi

Group Chief Support Services Officer

Iman Khalid Ali Al Marzouqi is a distinguished executive with over 24 years of expertise in strategic leadership, operational transformation, and corporate governance. As the Group Chief Support Services Officer at Alpha Dhabi Holding, she oversees IT, HR and Administration, Procurement, Legal Affairs, and Contracts, driving innovation and operational excellence across the group’s subsidiaries.

Iman began her career at Schlumberger Middle East, gaining foundational experience in operational efficiency. Over the years, she has made a significant impact by managing large-scale operations, achieving annual cost savings exceeding AED 350 million, and spearheading transformational initiatives.

She has held notable roles, including Group Chief Strategic Development Officer at REACH Group, where she aligned corporate strategies with key performance indicators, and Acting Chief HR and Administrative Officer at Abu Dhabi Airports, where she led digital HR transformations and launched Emiratization programs such as the “Take-Off” initiative and the “Bunyan” program to prepare Emirati talent for the construction sector.

Iman holds dual bachelor’s degrees in law and business administration, an MBA in Project Management, and is currently pursuing a master’s in Juridical Studies, specializing in modernizing IPO governance. She is also certified in corporate governance, HR consultancy, and mergers and acquisitions law, showcasing her commitment to professional excellence and continuous growth.

Samy Ben-Jaafar

Director, Sustainability & Treasury

Samy Ben-Jaafar shepherds matters related to climate impact investing, corporate social responsibility, corporate finance and debt capital markets at Alpha Dhabi Holding and its subsidiaries. He serves as a Board and Board Committee Member on core ADH portfolio companies that operate in financial services, asset management, agriculture and forestry / land management.

Samy brings 25 years of impact investing and banking experience spanning the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and East Asia. He launched the Dubai Green Fund (DGF) as its inaugural CEO and served as the Senior Director responsible for private sector debt, capital markets and equity investments at the United Nation’s Green Climate Fund (GCF). Samy started his career at Citibank New York where he held international leadership positions within Africa and Europe.

Samy played an active role in advising African countries during the COP 21 Paris Accord negotiations and served on George Mason University (South Korea) President’s Advisory Board. He is active in structuring risk-participatory financing programs that support smallholder subsistence farmers in Africa, and advocates for projects and alliances that combat human trafficking and modern slavery; “we cannot credibly aspire to collaborate internationally to resolve complex climate issues, if we are unable to collectively irradicate the more straightforward issue of human trafficking”

Ignacio Lopez

Group Head of Compliance, Governance & Risk

Ignacio Lopez is the Group Head of Compliance, Governance & Risk at Alpha Dhabi Holding, where he is responsible for overseeing the management of Compliance, Governance, and Risk at the organization.

He has built a strong track record of success throughout his time in banking and at the Big Four. Prior to joining ADH, Ignacio was responsible for Compliance Governance at Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD), where he oversaw anti-money laundering & counter financing terrorism and know your customer functions. He also led quality assurance reviews and managed audits and examinations conducted by regulators.

Ignacio’s expertise and capabilities were recognized at CBD with multiple employee awards, and when he was designated as a subject matter expert at the bank. Before joining CBD, Ignacio served as a PwC Financial Crime Forensic Manager and as part of EY’s Fraud Investigation Team.

Ignacio is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS). He holds a Double degree in Law and Business Administration and Management.
